ECR Rusty

Rusty was the hardiest buck that Terry Hankins/ECR ever raised. That’s because of his Terminator genetics as he is a son of Southwest Cisco and JTV Nina, a daughter of Klondike. He was more of a doe maker than a buck sire, although a few of his sons did quite well, he sired the high-selling doe at the 2007 ECR Production Sale and the high-selling buck at the 2008 ECR Production Sale. Rusty regularly had kids and grandkids in the Oklahoma forage test and Western Illinois feed test. They always finished in the top percentile. Rusty was known more for his hardiness but his son ECR Pharaoh was among the top finishers at WIU in 2012. A Rusty daughter was the dam of the 2nd-place finisher in the Western Maryland buck forage test in 2008. In 2007 Rusty had 4 bucks in the top 15 at the first Oklahoma test.

Rusty is a bullet proof buck that produced some great does and a few great bucks such as ROHO Grande & Spitfire. His quality and popularity of his offspring proved out when he had two straws of semen sell for $8,300!
